The blades of the301 StockmanKnifearemade of satin finish 420HC stainless steel, as this material has both exceptional corrosion resistance and wear resistance. Buck’s exclusive Paul Bos heat-treating and testing process maximizes both of these advantages, and makes the blade easy to resharpenwhen needed. It is hardened to a Rockwell Hardness of RC58 through a rigorous heating, freezing and reheating process.

The handles of the 301 Stockman are Black Valox with nickel silver bolsters.
